1994
Cine Magic introduces their first product, the Cinewand Lens. The extreme close focus capability of the lens, and its ability to fit into tight areas, made it popular among tabletop directors, who would use it to film key product shots for top ad agency campaigns. Pizza Hut, Gillette, McDonald's, Budweiser, and BMW are just a few examples of the advertisements filmed with the Cinewand.
2009
With the Soho operation in full swing, Cine Magic expands into Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After only eight months of construction, which included the conversion of a two story building into a single story, 28' high, column-free space, Cine Magic Riverfront Studios opens and hosts Universal's "Tower Heist" Brett Ratner (above) directs Eddie Murphy and the rest of the all-star cast
2001
Visual FX Director Alex Funke, shown here using Cine Magic's Revolution Lens on 'lord of the Rings," a film series that would win him two Oscars. "While we were shooting the 900-plus miniature shots for Lord of the Rings, we used the Revolution in every imagineable way It's a versatile tool, and we could not have made the shots we did without it" said Funke.
2012
As the media industry in NYC continues to thrive, Cine Magic expands into Greenpoint, Brooklyn The new operation, taking up an entire city block on the East River and offering NYC's largest soundstage, immediately becomes a coveted destination, attracting notable TV series HBO's "The Knick," "Crashing," and "Divorce," as well as Showtime's "Homeland," "Billions," and "Ray Donovan."
2006
Cine Magic opens their first studio in NolitalSoho, Manhattan. The close proximity to the fashion and advertising district ( +good food) attracts top-tier ad agencies, directors, and producers The loyal users of Cine Magic's products would support the new operation by making it their first choice filming destination.
